Keith Tyson at The Pace Gallery

January 5, 2011 by Kay

Keith Tyson 52 Variables

The Pace Gallery, 510 W 25th St, New York, NY 10001 10th Dec 2010 - 5th Feb 2011

In Tyson’s fourth solo exhibition at the gallery, the Turner Prize winner presents a new body of work created in 2010. The show features fifty-two paintings depicting the backs of playing cards (measuring approximately 39 x 31"), culled from two hundred years of history–from a Twitter logo circa 2010 to a 1950s pinup girl and an Indian elephant from colonial Great Britain.

For more information and further images on the exhibition visit The Pace Gallery website.
