Press release: Other Criteria welcomes Tim Noble and Sue Webster as the next artists to produce an edition created for the gallery based at New Bond Street. Continuing to explore their investigation into self-portraiture the artists have produced an edition of ten bronze works and a series of unique monoprints.

The sculptures are cast bronzes of the artists nipples and arseholes, wall mounted, to challenge the brain by reflecting the positioning of the eyes and mouth. Also being shown, are a series of unique prints, where the artists use their own bodies as human printing machines, printing directly onto Somerset Velvet 300gsm paper.

‘If they say that necessity is the mother of invention, then the original concept for this obscene series of body part prints was born from just that. During a residency on one of the most beautifully passive and colourful of the Caribbean Islands – we found ourselves banished in order to create.
