Other Criteria pops up in Tokyo

Other Criteria is proud to report back on the success of our pop-up store in Tokyo in collaboration with Vogue Nippon.

Following the concept of 'the magazine you can walk into', Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons and the fashion title mag opened a shop in the Aoyama district of the Japanese capital to celebrate Vogue Nippon's 10th anniversary in May this year. In tandem with the July issue's Manga theme, later collaborations were set up with Takashi Murakami, Chanel, Fendi, Loewe, Martin Margiela and Walter van Beirendonck.

Kawakubo is charged with designing the space, and envisioned a clash of energies from various designers and artists from around the world. From the end of July to the end of August, Other Criteria was invited to host the shop space, all of which was documented in the September issue, and images of which can be seen below.

The Vogue Nippon shop is to stay open until the Autumn and can be found on Kotto Dori Street in the Aoyama district in the same building that opened as Dover Street Market Tokyo in 2004.
