The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver (MCA Denver) presents a solo exhibition of Mexican artist Eduardo Sarabia. The exhibition, Tainted, is presented in conjunction with a new program series, Huevos Revueltos, which focuses on contemporary Mexican art and culture. Eduardo Sarabia will curate the program and be in residence at the museum throughout the month of May. In addition, Sarabia will be the guest of honor at the museum’s annual Nueve de Mayo fundraiser on Thursday, May 9, 2013. MCA Denver is proud to present this trio of events which showcase leading creative work from Mexico in music, food and contemporary art throughout the month of May.

Eduardo Sarabia: Tainted will be on view at MCA Denver from April 26 through June 8, 2013. This exhibition will feature recent paintings by the artist as well as sculpture and mixed media works. MCA Denver will celebrate the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, May 4 with an all-day reception coinciding with the museum’s monthly Penny Saturday event.
Huevos Revueltos is a series of live lecture programs beginning on Thursday, May 16 and continuing on Thursday, May 23 & Thursday, May 30. The program series is curated by Eduardo Sarabia and features artists, writers and others discussing the contemporary art, politics and culture of Mexico.
The annual Nueve de Mayo fiesta will take place on Thursday, May 9 and will feature performances by LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang as well as the Guadalajara-based duo Master Plus. This event is the museum’s annual fundraiser for education and programming.
