Martin Eder was born in Augsburg, Germany, in 1968. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg and the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he was taught by the artist Eberhard Bosslet. His work is held in various collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Seavest Collection of Contemporary American Realism, New York. He is a practising hypnotherapist and a founding member of the drone metal band Ruin.
