Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief

February 18, 2010 by Ellie

Naomi Campbell tonight hosts a celebrity fashion show and auction to raise money for the victims of Haiti.

Taking place on the eve of London Fashion Week at Somerset House, the supermodel has called upon celebrities and friends to take part, including Damien Hirst, who has donated a brand new work for auction, below. The signed work features nine 18 inch diameter spin paintings mounted on a red background in a red powder coated aluminium frame.

The event supports The White Ribbon Alliance which promotes safe pregnancy and childbirth around the world and whose patron is Sarah Brown. Funds raised at the show will go towards ensuring mothers and babies are at the heart of the Haiti relief effort and aim to provide both short and long term healthcare.

Names of catwalk models will not be revealed until the show this evening, but clothes by the designers Dolce & Gabbana, Jaeger and Vivienne Westwood will appear. A limited edition designer Fashion For Relief t-shirt will also be sold exclusively at the event. The event is a rare opportunity for members of the public to gain access to London Fashion Week - a privilege normally reserved for members of the press and the fashion trade.

Standard tickets for the event cost £75.00, while premium seats cost £400.00 - £650.00. To buy tickets for tonight's event, visit Ticketweb.
