Press release: Other Criteria Launch New Work by Damien Hirst

On 10 January 2012, Other Criteria (New Bond Street) will host an exclusive launch of brand new Spot Prints by the artist Damien Hirst, which will be on display until 14 February 2012.

While, in isolation, they may “look sort of happy — like Skittles or kids' sweets,” Hirst explained, “when you see them together you get kind of lost in them. [and] There's an underlying anxiousness”.

Other Criteria will also unveil a new range of products at their Hinde Street shop on the 12th of January, including a Spot Tea Towel, Spot Canvas Tote Bag, Spot Mug and a Spot Coin Purse. These will also be available to purchase online at

Damien Hirst: Spot Prints precedes The Complete Spot Paintings 1986-2011 by Damien Hirst, which will be exhibited at each of Gagosian Gallery’s eleven locations from 12 January, 2012 and the first UK major museum retrospective of Hirst’s work, which opens at Tate Modern in London in April, 2012.
