Nihilistic Optimistic at Blain Southern is Tim Noble & Sue Webster’s first major solo exhibition in London since 2006. Featuring six large-scale works, the show builds upon the artists’ sustained investigation into self-portraiture, further deconstructing the relationship between materiality and form which has been so intrinsic to their practice.

FUEL Publishing and White Cube present a special signing by the artists Jake & Dinos Chapman of their new book Bedtime Tales for Sleepless Nights.
The signing will take place in a Wendy house constructed by the artists, who will be dressed as bunny rabbits. Each book purchased on the night will be accompanied by a raffle ticket. The draw will take place at 8 pm that evening and the lucky winner’s prize is a personal reading from the book in their own home by the artists.
Bedtime Tales for Sleepless Nights is a large-scale hardback publication, in a traditional children’s book format: thick stiff pages are matched with large print text and colourful images. Inside, Jake & Dinos Chapman re-imagine the classic Victorian morality tale. While their own immorality Tales are wrought from the innocent language of children’s story books, the messages they sagely propose are far from the saccharin coated yarns familiar to this genre. The scenes these Tales depict are vivid, dark and troubling, and will have dramatic consequences on the nocturnal serenity of the reader... These 15 coloured etchings and accompanying story, have been specifically created by the artists for this publication and are reproduced exclusively in this book. A set of limited edition prints will be on display on the night, and are available to purchase.
