For the Love of Comic Relief - Damien Hirst creates limited edition prints to celebrate 25 years of Red Nose Day

Today, 50 signed, limited edition prints created by Damien Hirst will go on sale for Red Nose Day. Titled 'For The Love of Comic Relief', these prints feature Hirst's iconic diamond encrusted skull 'For the Love of God' finished with a glittery Red Nose.

One of the 50 limited edition lithographic prints will be hung in the Tate Modern this weekend from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th February on Level 0 for the public to see. The exclusive Red Nose Day prints go on sale today and can be viewed online at www.othercriteria.com and instore from Other Criteria's outlets on Bond Street and Hinde Street.

Damien said "This is the third time I have collaborated with Comic Relief for Red Nose Day, they do great things, and it is an epic and far reaching charity. Sometimes art is taken too seriously so it's good to be able to laugh at myself; if you don't laugh you will cry and it's good to bring humour into fundraising. I hope this sparkly red nose will raise a smile and lots of money."

The prints are portrait sized at 20 x 24 inches (unframed) and will be sold at £2,500 each. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of each print will go directly to Comic Relief. The money raised for Red Nose Day is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives across Africa and here in the UK.
