'Crucible2' at Gloucester Cathedral 1st Sept - 31st Oct 2014

September 2, 2014 by Georgie

An exhibition featuring the work of Damien Hirst has opened at Gloucester Cathedral this month. 'Crucible2' will feature the work of over 60 artists, including Antony Gormley, Henry Moore and Lynne Chadwick amongst others.

The second major exhibition of it's kind curated by Gallery Pangolin is set in the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral, and fuses together a great collection of contemporary works. 'Crucible2' will be on show until the 31st October 2014.

Two Hirst works are on display within the Cathedral, a black rendering of 'Anatomy of an Angel' (2008), and a recently finished work, 'Fallen Angel' (2008-2014).

Other Criteria have produced a miniature of the Hirst original, classically posed Carrara marble sculpture, 'Anatomy of an Angel'. Cast in either black or white resin, each in a limited edition, the signature, title and edition number are etched into the resin by the artist.
