Boo Saville - Polycephaly

October 7, 2014 by Ishah

British artist Boo Saville is showing at TJ Boulting, 59 Riding House Street, London from 16th October 2014 until 15th November 2014. Her solo show 'Polycephaly' refers to a condition derived from the Greek words for 'many headed,' which in turn refers to Saville's current practice.

Saville has perhaps been better known for piercing monochrome biro drawings that explore existence, archaeology, myth, philosophy and science. TJ Boulting combines Saville’s two working mediums; that of mesmerising abstract colour fields in juxtaposition to her monochrome figurative works. The show explores what unites the two visually contrasting sides of her practice as belonging to one artist.
