2010 marks the 20th anniversary of Camden Arts Centre’s internationally acclaimed residency programme. Outset Contemporary Art Fund is helping celebrate this milestone this Saturday 17th April.

The Big Rip Off! gives over 40 artists license to plunder the history of financial misdemeanours and raise funds through underhand means. A gallery of fakes forged by contemporary artists for Fake Modern, will include Michael Craig-Martin, Simon Periton and Thomas Scheibitz. Fakes will include paintings, inflatable "stone" sculptures, aped styles, appropriated images and other desirable shams and scams (there will be a Mondrian, a Freud and a Henry Moore).

Money raised will provide vital funding for future residencies and allow Camden Arts Centre to continue to support artists and their work. Fake Modern is now accepting bids. Click here to register your bid.

The day will also be filled with family workshops, artists' stalls and activities.

2-5pm: Daylight Robbery 7-10pm: Den of Thieves
