Damien Hirst Spin Chairs, specially commissioned from Jasper Morrison & published by Other Criteria reach $137,000 in (RED) Auction

On Saturday 23rd November, Sotheby's held a huge auction curated by Sir Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson to raise money for (RED) and fight against AIDS in Africa. In total the auction raised $26.2 million which included two Damien Hirst Spin Chairs, specially commissioned from Jasper Morrison and published by Other  Criteria.

The estimate for the chairs was $30,000 - $35,000 but they went for a staggering $137,000. Each chair has unique spin on it and signed underneath the seat.

Other Criteria sell the chairs at £6,000 each or £30,000 for a set of six. They are available in multicoloured or black and white. More designs are available.
